Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our IT team. The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to meet our business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, architectures, and services, with a specific focus on AWS environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
• Migrate existing on-premises applications to AWS.
• Implement and control the flow of data to and from AWS.
• Select the appropriate AWS service based on compute, data, or security requirements.
• Identify appropriate use of AWS architectural best practices.
• Estimate AWS costs and identify cost control mechanisms.
• Work with other team members to integrate cloud services with on-premises technologies from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP etc.
• Provide leadership and technical guidance in cloud and hybrid architectures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
• Profound knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, VPC, Route 53, AWS Security, IAM, and others.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.) for automation.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.) and security architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) environments.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
